Freaky Flow began his impressive run with Moonshine with World Domination, the album that introduced the Toronto DJ to many North Americans who hadn't otherwise had a chance to see him spin live. Futhermore, this album elevated Freaky Flow's status to one of North America's top drum'n'bass DJs, alongside such luminaries as Dieselboy and DJ Dara. And though Freaky Flow would no doubt draw easy comparisons to these two DJs, his style was much different. He was more influenced by his background spinning hip-hop -- showcased, no doubt, in the MCing that appears in this mix -- than the hardcore techno and ragga-rooted drum'n'bass that thrived in England throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s. This sense of individuality set Freaky Flow apart from his other North American peers and helped him cross over to the enormous hip-hop audiences on the East and West Coasts.
