, August 20, 2001Reviewer: snypaz5667 - See all snypaz5667's reviewsTela didn't do really a good job on his new album first of all,the album is short, the album has 14 songs, that's too short for a hip hop album, you dig,Tela added in his old mixes like Sho Nuff, and Table Dance which is good but old,and he shouldn't have a short intro or a skit on the album cause it's short the album's time remaining has 53:15.So I advice you Rap-A-Lot fans to keep your money and wait, and buy Devin the Dude's new album in October.1998 was a good year for Rap-A-Lot,now in the 2k it Drops all the way down. ...

Pro Reviews: World Ain't Enuff
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Four years after Tela collaborated with Eightball MJG and Suave House Records on his breakthrough single, "Sho Nuff," the playboy rapper from Memphis recorded his second album for RapaLot, The World Ain't Enuff. The album bears little resemblance to the Gfunk Tela had recorded for Suave House. He instead embraces a livelier, more contemporaryDirty South style that's driven by bassheavy dance beats rather than smokedout Chronicesque ones, and he boasts this new style on an uptempo remake of his signature hit, "Sho Nuff." It's immediately followed by a likewise cluborientated Jazze Pha remix of "Table Dance," another of his previous hits. These backtoback remakes come midalbum and showcase how far Tela had come during the late '90s stylistically. The glossy remakes also serve as a nice climax before Tela returns to his new songs, which include a few highlights, among them the albumclosing titletrack collaboration with the RapaLot don himself, Mr. Scarface. - Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide |
