  • All Music Guide

Recorded in the mid'40s for Moses Asch, founder of Folkways Records, the songs on this release are available on countless collections. Woody Guthrie is featured on guitar and vocal, Cisco Houston adds harmonies and also plays occasional second guitar or mandolin, and Sonny Terry is spotlighted on harmonica. More comprehensively documented compilations from this time period are available.
