Alex (Selena Gomez), Justin (David Henrie), and Max Russo (Jake T. Austin) may look like the kids next door, but they have a special secret: thanks to instruction by their father, Jerry (David DeLuise), they are all endowed with wizardly powers! This hour-long Disney Channel special follows the eldest of the three young magicians to Wiz Tech, a summer boarding school that will help them hone their skills with spells and potions, all the while learning to cope with competitive classmates. As soon as they arrive, Justin proves immediately to be a model student, but the reluctant Alex hits a few social stumbling blocks; her attendance proves crucial, however, when she uncovers an evil teacher's plot to steal her brother's powers. Back at home, baby of the family Max joins Jerry for a "camping trip" on their New York City terrace.

    Những phù thủy xứ Waverly Place (Wizards of Waverly Place) là bộ phim truyền hình dài tập của Disney nói về một gia đình phù thủy ở Waverly Place, New York, Mỹ. Justi...n, Alex và Max là con của một cựu phù thủy. Trong 1 gia đình phù thủy, chỉ có mộ đứa trẻ có thể giữ lại quyền năng của mình khi lớn lên. Đấy là lí do Justin, Alex, Max phải tham gia lớp huấn luyện của bố. Có điều phép thuật làm mọi thứ rắc rối hơn nhiều. Những trò đùa kinh dị không báo trước của Justin và Max khiến Alex quay vòng vòng như chong chóng, rồi thậm chí là bò toài trên đất để ăn... socola. Nhân vật chính *Alex Russo : Là một cô bé 14 tuổi,yêu thích thời trang. Alex luôn là người phải hứng chịu những trò đùa của Justin và Max. Alex là cô bé rất đáng yêu nhưng cũng không kém phần nghịch ngợm, khó bảo. Cô rất muốn dùng phép thuật tự do. Trong 1 tập, bạn của Alex cũng là phù thủy đã bỏ bùa làm cho bố mẹ Alex không quan tâm khi cô làm phép tự do kể cả khi Max bị Justin và Alex bỏ rơi trên... sao Hỏa. Alex do Selena Gomez thủ vai. *Justin Russo : Là anh của Alex và Max đông thời là anh cả trong gia đình. Tính rất nghiêm túc và học làm phù thủy rất xuất sắc. Trong 1 tập, Justin rất trẻ con. Alex đã bày ra những cách để Miranda và Justin hôn nhau nhưng luôn bị những rắc rối cản trở.Justin do David Henrie thủ vai. *Max Russo : Là cậu em út trong gia đình nhưng luôn bày ra các trò nghịch ngợm,thích hù dọa anh trai mình. Max có một tật xấu là rất... lười tắm. Max do Jake.T.Austin thủ vai *Jerry Russo : Là bố của ba anh em Justin. Jerry từng là một phù thủy, vì phù thuỷ không được cưới người thường nên Jerry đã nhường phép thuật cho bác của ba anh em Justin để lấy người mình yêu. *Theresa Russo : Là mẹ của ba anh em Justin. Là một người thường hơi... quái dị. Nhưng bà lại là người rất biết chăm lo cho gia đình và luôn để ý tới ba đứa con và chồng mình. *Harper: Là bạn thân của Alex, cô cũng yêu thích thời trang, nhưng cô lại rất cả tin. Harper thích Justin. Nhân vật phụ *D.J Taylor : Là một phù thủy nhưng bị Alex phát hiện. Cậu được dùng phép thoải mái vì bỏ bùa bố mẹ nhưng đến cuối tập phim thì bố mẹ của cậu được giải bùa. *Gigi: Là kẻ thù từ hồi mẫu giáo của Alex.
