An entirely instrumental album from Tokyo's finest avant rock group, the intensity is certainly not lost without guitarist Keiji Haino's vocals. Freed of his vocal duty, this allows the noise guitarist to focus on guiding the group through some of their most dynamic material on record. At 74 minutes of one continuous improvisation, this can be a tough listen, but over repeated sittings Fushitsusha reveal themselves to be one of the most inventive and powerful ensembles in avant-garde and noise. Even if the logic to this music is entirely internal, this recording makes sense in the cannon of Keiji Haino at one of his peaks.
