"A garage version of the Shangri-Las" should be an apt characterization of this New York quartet, which recorded a bunch of demos in 1966 and 1967 (the later ones under the name of the Sassy Ones). Or, maybe, a garage version of the Shangri-Las with a touch of the Shaggs: the girls have trouble staying in tune on a number of tracks. The act did not play any of their own instruments, and were backed by local musicians in the studio; never actually managing to release a record, they broke up in late 1967. Distortions Records, which specializes in the mustiest corners of '60s garage music, collected their demos for LP release in 1996.
