    This and firme were the peak of their career

    Pros: Great punk sound along with masterful trumpets to create this real ska

    Cons: some songs just aren't up to par

    This would get five stars, but the bad songs show that this cd wasn't destined to be great. This is the skulls at their hardest. After firme you will still find good songs but there is a drastic change in the music and vocals. Get this firme, ban...d geek mafia, and you'll be set. Read more Less

    SKA-PUNK AT ITS FINEST

    Their debut album defines the term *Ska-Punk*. From 'UGLY STICK' TO 'INSUBORDINATION' Voodoo Glow Skulls keeps you skanking. Their versatility is almost unprecedented. The horns Joe and Joey blow will move you. An all around great album.

    The Voodoo Glow Skulls, what can I say? If you like Punk or Ska you will absolutely love the Skull's first album, the first track, Insubordination, just shows how punk or ska should be performed, although the album slightly wanes after that it still... keeps a fantastic charm and skill. Dogpile, another of the tracks, is just fantastic with very fast drums, ska section and guitar. As with many other Ska bands the guitar is just a light pluck traditional to Ska but when it comes to the Skulls it is almost hardcore guitaring with added ska section but adds up perfectly. A must buy for a fan of Ska or Punk even Hardcore! A defining moment in Punk/Ska history, the birth of the Voodoo Glow Skulls!! Who do Voodoo? We do! Read more Less
