    Pros: Lots of nice features including clock, timer, reheat, etc.

    Cons: Nice features don't work.

    We bought the Whirlpool Gold model 5 years ago atter our 20 year old Kenmore finally quit. The warranty is good for only 90 days. Shortly after 90 days, the clock quit working, then it started shaking when running. Finally, it sounded like a bomb wen...t off, it got very hot and burned the wall plug-in.     Pros: nice looking

    Cons: flimsy construction

    I bought a entire kitchen of Whirlpool Gold and are happy with all except the microwave. The problem is the plastic covering the metal shield. Upon installing the microwave I realized the plastic covering was hanging off. One month later with numerou...s calls a technician came only to try to install the wrong door. Waited again and he came with the proper door but ruined the model installing it. Finally numerous phone calls later to Whirlpool I went and took the microwave back to Loews. We opened the box and come to find that the plastic was all bubbling in certain areas of this model as well. The spots are in the center so at least the plastic is hanging off so we installed it and are using it. Eventually ,down the line we will probably have to get a entire door. Read more Less
