Wonderful family movie
Pros: Heartwarming, dramatic family movie

I saw this movie when I was about 11 years old at the movie theater. My whole school went to it and I have enjoyed seeing it several times since I became an adult. I just don't understand why this is not available on DVD.
The story is simple, an Appalachian family loses its father (mother was already dead) and fights to stay together. The young girl has to take a role to fight to overcome his limitation, coming from a poor family and having a responsibility to keep the family together.Was this review helpful? Yes - No
