When mary first came on the music secencs everybody wanted to get her on their albums because she was the boom and before she made her awesome debut of "Real Love" the music in that time was oh so fimilar and mary you changed that i loved this album because it was real and not fake like other artist i have heard of at that time so mary this album was just so real and it was a treasure that i listen to even today.

I love Mary J. Blige because she keeps it real. She is beautiful. Move over Bobby cause Mary J. is truely the queen on R&B!!

What can i say about "what's the 411"? When this came out, r&b music did a 360. And as a result of this record labels started looking for their "Mary J.". The beats were the start of singing over break beats with music used by Biz Markie to "Top Billin". The "sweet thing" remake brought a real hip hop street vibe to the already classic original. And the duet with K-Ci??? NICE! Look at R&B albums after this one. You'll see why they called her the Queen of Hip Hop Soul! Shout outs to Puffy too for making it happen.

this album is top and much better than hardcore which sampled real love in a 1995 release

MARY MUSIC HAS TOUCHED A LOT OF FEMALES HEART THAT HAS BEEN HAVING TROUBLE IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND SOME OF THE MUSIC HAS HELPED OTHERS TO M0VE ON AND KNOW THEY STILL CAN BE FRIENDS I MEAN IF IT WASNT FROM MARY I WOULDNT BE WHERE IM AT NOW SHE HELPED ME TO KNOW WHEN YOU FIND TRUE LOVE TO STAY WITH IT OR YOU WOULDNT GET ANYWHERE IN LIFE THINKING MR.RIGHT WILL END UP ON YOUR DOOR STEP
