Some very important themes going on in this visually spell-binding film bring Dante's Inferno into the 20th Century. Perhaps not a film for everyone since it requires some thought, which the average person today is practically incapable of doing. Ha...rshly reviewed, but that is to a bunch of critics who look at everything black and white, left to right, and would rather have a film fill in the blanks rather then leave you to interpret at your own will. I love this story. the best story ever. It talks about love and surviving story. Robin williams fought hard to save his wife in hell. Just try to watch this movie and you will love it and never regret it.

i dunno how to appreciate the movie but if u you will try to think that there is something more real beyond of this world. We lived on this temporay world ad we dont know if there is second life after death.What i have learned from that movie is to k...now the truth that we can pay for our sins we made while we lived on this earth with so much evil and death or bitterness in hell. The good ppol will live in heaven and it is beautiful paradise surrounded with beautiful colorful flowers and trees. It is a good love story at God's, Bible's price. If you believed anything in this movie, you would think man can do anything, including negociate with God, alter God's rules, and beat God. Pros: Brilliant acting & story line!!

Cons: Absolutely None!!!

This is one of those films that probably requires at least a second viewing, but once you do...you're hooked!! Although this is definately a controversial look into the mysteries of the afterlife, I came away with a totally different perspective ...& outlook than before. "Simply put, this movie makes you think"!! It's certainly more proof of the rare talent and wide-range Williams is capable of & Cuba Gooding, Jr. shouldn't be over-looked either as a fantastic supporting actor. Be warned however, the last 15 or so minutes of this movie may require you to have some spare boxes of tissue close by, but you'll also be smiling at the same time. This movie is on my "A" List of the greatest films of all time & will remain top-drawer of my DVD collection. Read more Less
