    Boo Yaa at it's Best

    Pros: It's all around good

    Cons: none

I loved this Album, especialy tracks 3 and 4 (collaboration with eminem) which discusses the state of Hip-Hop today, in the comercialism that surrounds it and the manufactured sound that has all mainstream sounding the same, and to the violence invol...ved in the industry. Tracks 1,2, and 6 will keep your head bangin with their tight beats and bomb lyrics. There's really nothing bad I can say about this album. In fact the only critiscism I have is that I was hoping to hear more songs like "ballers prayer," and "Mama please dont preach," which had me bumpin their last album Mafia lifestyles. That album was bangin also, and I recommend it. Another tight Boo Yaa Tribe, is Chillin on the Westside. The New Album, West Costra Nostra, is something even the casual hip-hop fan will love. It's been far too long since Boo Ya Tribe reared the collective menacing heads around the scene. After disappearing for several years the clan regroups with a monster of a record in West Koasta Nostra. It's a welcome return for the group, whose production skills and lyrical delivery are as fierce as ever. However, it all seems as if someting is missing. What makes this album as strong as it is can't really be contributed to the production or Boo Ya's rhymes, but the unbelievable quality of the guest appearances that carry the album through start to finish. Aside from having an average of three guests per track, Mack 10, Kurupt and KnocTurn'al all make strong appearances that rival deliveries on their own respective albums, but it's Cypress Hill's BReal and Eminem's appearance on '911' that unquestionably make the track the crown jewel of West Koasta Nostra. It's not a classic on par with 1990's New Funky Nation, but for those long time die hards awaiting a return to form West Koasta is... welcome relief. Rob Theakston, All Music Guide Read more Less
