OK NOW I KNOW WEEZER ISN'T A BIG BAND AND THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN BUT THE WRITE SOME PRETTY KICCK ASS SONGS THAT WILL MAKE ANY ROCKER LOVE'EM. I YOU THINK THEY SUCK WHTA REALLY IS SUCKS IS YOUR SENSE OF ROCK AND OF AWESOME MUSIC YOU SHOULD GO LISTEN TO SOME CLASSICAL CRAP

This is a reat CD. The best made by Weezer besides the Blue album. Musically it's awesome, these guys are some really good musicians. Rivers Coumo is a great song writer and will continue to write good songs as far as I can tell. There are no 'bad songs' on this album. No songs you just want to skip. I highly recommend this CD.

Good, but way too short

Weezer is better than most new bands out there, both musically and lyrically. My favorite songs are "Hashpipe","Island In The Sun", and "Oh Girlfriend". The only bad thing about this album is that it's way too short (just about 28 minutes long). This album is something you could listen too, and never skip any tracks.

This is an awesome CD. I absolutely loved it. Their new one is okay, but this is the best album by Weezer. I listen to it all the time and have all the songs memorized. This album is bumpin, and Weezer definitely rocks.

yeah , this is one of the best albums that Weezer has made , it's like the blue album , the green album and pinkerton allin onc CD. Pluse if you get it in stores you get an extra 7 songs you can watch on your own computer. Damn , if you guys buy this it will knock you off your socks off, hey everyone enjoy this album and rock till you drop , if u can IM me or somethin so i could write you a song ...but anyways have fun and whatever you do don't let weezer down..lol....

A lot of people think that the green album sucks. Yes the blue album and pinkerton are better, but I think the green album was well done, and was easily good enough to be a follow up of pinkerton and blue.

Good but not great

I did not even know about Weezer until this album came out because I was mostly into metal bands when they first started. Now that I have got to appreciate more about music they have become my favorite band next to The Deftones.
I have to admit though, this is not nearly as good as The Blue Album. When I first got this I thought it was really good, but then I bought The Blue Album and I relized that this does not even compare with their older stuff. The more I have herd this album the more I have relized that this does not have nearly as much depth as their older stuff. The songs are to short, the guitars sound the same in almost every song and the song writing is not as good.
Don't get me wrong, I still think this is a good album but it just dosen't compare with The Blue Album. I have also got Pinkerton and that has some of their best work but there are only 4 songs on it that I really like.

Superficial pop crap, no substance.

It seems Weezer had one goal in mind in making this album, get away from the acerbic themes explored in "Pinkerton" while retaining what is a pretty remarkable pop sensibility. All the songs on the album are accessible, well-crafted material which has tended to alienate hard-core fans. The edge that is presented in "Hash Pipe," itself one of the best singles of last year, is absent from the rest of the album, but the rest of the songs are difficult to dislike. Plus, the short running time (38 minutes or so) serves to avoid overextending its welcome.

Not bad considering there's not an ounce of real emotion on the entire disc. I love weezer, their first two albums were brilliant and very real, but after the disappointing sales of Pinkerton they've apparantly given up on recording music with a soul, which is a shame, because there are flashes of brilliance on this album that only hint at how great it could have been.

I agree that all ten songs are great and stuff, but after I've heard the album I didn't get the feeling: 'whoa! that was GREAT, I want to listen to it again'. Maybe that's the reason that none of the songs are special or original in some way, I don't know, I still haven't found out the reason, but the thing is: I was very disappointed when I heard this album...

=w=eezer's new album is awesome. All the tracks are good. Hash Pipe and Photograph are the best though. Lot's of people don't like it. If you don't like it, you're full of it! I think they're related to Ben Folds and The Strokes. But, they're a lot more hard rock than any of the other punk/rock bands. The only slow song is Island in the Sun (which in one point turns hard rock). I HIGHLY (hahaha) recomend this album.-pp88
