  • All Music Guide

This combines the first two Chantels albums recorded for End Records between 1957 and 1961. The track listing for the group's first album consists of little more than both sides of the first six singles the girls recorded for the label. As such, it's almost a greatest-hits package, as it includes "Maybe," "Every Night" and "I Love You So," all very big hits for the group. Their second album, There's Our Song Again, was issued in 1962 and completes the package, featuring "I," "Believe Me (My Angel)" and tracks from their two extended play (EP) 45s released in front of this album. The transfers are clear and crisp, and the cover art depicts the rare original "plantation girls" cover to their first album.
