    Great songs--wonderful interpretation

    Pros: Clay's voice soars, especially in Solitaire

    Cons: A little too much background synth in spots, but still good

    It's all about the voice. Clay is an amazing vocal artist, who has the skill of making any song he sings his forever. The Way is a catchy little pop ballad that encapsulates just what it is--that indefinable something--that makes you love a cer...tain someone. Somewhat remniscent of the early boy-band genre, it is a song about love . . . I predict it as the new prom/wedding song of 2004.Solitaire: Just magnificent. For this one, the studio production allowed the true qualities of Clay's voice to shine through (the one complaint I had with the album was the production techniques that altered some of his vocal qualities}. Starts with a subdued first verse, culminating in a vocal key change and performance at the end that, literally, sent pleasant shivers up my spine. Neil Sedaka must be overjoyed at this very moving and true interpretation of his classic song. A beautiful song sung by a true artist.As an aside, I think that it's telling that most of the negative reviews I ever read about Clay have very little to do with his actual performance or voice, and everything to do with either how he came to public recognition (Americian Idol) or from a feeling that he is still "in competion" with other so-called "idols." Add in to that the issues some people have with his fans, and some irrational "hatreds" based on misconceptions . . . well, all I'm saying is that a review based on that kind of garbage is worthless.     I am sad that the only other review is so negative! Clay has a great voice- but more than that he is a fantastic human being. That alone deserves respect. I am hoping that the single of solitare is as fantastic as his performance of it live.

    "The Way" is a very sweet, romantic ballad. It expresses the idea that sometimes you can't put your feelings about someone into words. It's done with the little things, such as a look, a touch, or doing something special to make t...hat person happy. This song is currently making its way up the radio airplay charts, and is also on MTV's TRL top 10 video countdown (#2 as of yesterday). The video successfully conveys the meaning of the song, showing couples in various stages of romance, from young teens just starting out their relationship all the way to an elderly couple dancing romantically in their living room. It's a must-see!"Solitaire&

    Clay's version of Solitare is phenominal and The Way has the most beautiful lyrics. I think he sings them both awesome. His voice blows me away! I also like that he is set out to use his fame for good and be a good role model. Great job Clay!

    The Way is a beautiful song in itself and available in his Measure of a Man album, but this rendition of Solitaire is just beyond all expectations and my expectations were high as it was. It is the full version as compared to his version on American... Idol 2 and compared to the shortened version he sang on American Idol 3 on March 17. It is breathtaking, spellbinding, and that glory note!!! If this song does not make a grown man or woman cry, then nothing will. Clay Aiken is indeed a legend in his own time and in such a short time! This CD is well worth it at whatever price! Read more Less

    Listening to this young man sing is such a breath of fresh air ~ so effortless ~ he is a once in a lifetime find ~ The rendition of Solitaire was incredible ~ I would recommend without hesitation to anyone to purchase this CD Single ~

    Clay proves once again that his vocal interpretation is unequalled in the pop music world. Both The Way and Solitaire are outstanding examples of a truly talented man. The amazing thing is that Clay's powerful voice is so effortless, so pure an...d beautiful, it's hard to imagine a mere human can be capable of such vocal range.
