You'll never be able to forget this movi
Let me preface this by saying that I prefer movies like Get Carter, Payback, Alien, The Specialist, etc. For the very first time in my life, a movie has gotten to me and won't let go. That movie is Watership Down. The watercolor look of the animation combined with the orchestral score make the experience both uplifting and saddening. I could've done without Art Garfunkel's singing (female vocal would've been better) but it doesn't take anything away from the film.
Children that are 8 years and up will be able to watch this film but may be upset by the images at some points. If you don't want someone to see your emotional weaknesses, don't watch this film with anyone else, especially your children. It's not a good idea for kids to ever see weaknesses in their parents and this film will expose them.
I bought the DVD at Wal-Mart for $15 and it's absolutely the best $15 I've spent.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoWhat tha Squirrel thinkz 'bout tha Bunny
Bright Eye's was by Art Garfunkel and me has a vhs >pal< version, they are readly avalable in Briton >from Polygram or Universal, best of british animation, that and Animal Farm, 'parently<.

This is one of my favourite childhood movies and I continue to hold very fond memories of the tale. It was made before me (!) and I cannot seem to find a copy anywhere anymore. This is a shame, for it is a truly beautiful film, a highlight being the magical tune of 'Bright Eyes' by Simon Garfunkel. However, the book is still available, and while it is longer and more complex, it still conveys the messages behind the film that make it such a fascinating journey into the unknown.

this movie is sad, scary, and very emotional. I've watched it so many times on BETA, if anyone remembers what that is. I can't find it on VHS, though. It is alot better than the book. Book boring. sorry. got to see this.
