WWF Betrayal combines the charismatic wrestlers of the WWF with beat-'em-up gameplay similar to Double Dragon. As the game opens, you're just moments away from winning the WWF Heavyweight title when a trash can hits you in the back of the head. The blow stuns you just long enough to get pinned, causing you to lose the championship. Meanwhile, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley has been kidnapped, and Vince McMahon promises you another shot at the title if you can bring her back safely. Coincidence or conspiracy? You're about to find out.

Choose between The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H and The Undertaker, who each have the same punches and kicks but can perform a signature special move when their power meter is full. Weapons like pipes, wrenches and nightsticks also come into play.
