    NOT heavy metal

By The Metal Maniac  Jun 6, 2006

    Pros: ROB HALFORD

    Cons: Trent Reznor

I have to say that I hate Trent Reznor and do not like Nine Inch Nails. But I love ROB HALFORD and JUDAS PRIEST. Probably the only reason I like this album because it is ROB HALFORD. The best song is I Am A Pig. The other songs are okay, but I'm ...not really a fan of "industrial" so they don't really speak to me. If you like Nine Inch Nails or Trent Reznor or industrial music or ROB HALFORD, you will like this album. \m/ \m/ Read more Less

    Good Industrial Album

    By Chris F  Sep 4, 2001

This album really shows Rob Halfords creativity and I love it. There is maybe 1 or 2 songs that carry on a little longer than I would like, but as a whole this cd kicks some ass. Gimp, Waters Leaking, Bed of Rust and I Am a Pig are the standout track...s. Don't expect to hear Judas Priest but do expect some fantastic Industrial music with some good guitar work thrown in. I'm just disappointed he only released one album under this band. Read more Less

Pro Reviews: Voyeurs

  • All Music Guide

Judas Priest fans expecting former lead singer Rob Halford to unleash a new extrememetal band (like his postPriest project Fight) will be disappointed with his new outfit, Two. Although Two does inherit some of Priest's metal riffs and overall power, this is an almost completely electronic affair. Halford's vocals are still unmistakable, but there's less highpitched shrieking (i.e., the Priest album Painkiller) and more of the singing/talking/screaming style that the techno genre demands. Two also tackle Tool's demented alternative, evidenced in the near progressive track "Stutter Kiss" (with elements of latterday David Bowie added as well). The overtly melodic "Water's Leaking" is musical territory that Judas Priest would never have permitted Halford to explore, yet "Leave Me Alone" sounds an awful lot like electroPriest. Although many techno fans will automatically see the album's opening "I Am a Pig" and think of Nine Inch Nails' Downward Spiral (which included the titles "Piggy" an...d "March of the Pigs"), Two's debut Voyeurs is a much more straightforward album. - Greg Prato, All Music Guide Read more Less

Biography

Two

The group Two are in fact just two people (vocalist Rob Halford and guitarist John Lowery). Halford, of course, was the lead singer of Judas Priest for nearly 20 years. After leaving the band in 1991 to pursue "different musical ideas," he formed the band Fight. Surprisingly, Fight was nearly a carbon copy of Priest, minus the former's commercial success; Fight disbande... Read more
