Prior to forming Von Iva, Davis spent seven years recording and touring with the riot grrrl band 7 Year Bitch. She and Harris also performed with the scifi rock outfit Clone for a short time, releasing one album, Not Feeling Quite Like Yourself Today? in 1998.
