Never buy a Vizio product of any kind!

Unfortunately, I failed to do an exhaustive search of Vizio before purchasing my 50" plasma flat screen. I have since found out theat countless other have experienced the malfuction at about one to two years of use. It goes "pop" and you lose all visuals. Most people won't even repair a Vizio brnad and if they do, it's usually cheaper to buy a new and better brand. "Buyer Beware!!!"

I did some internet research before purchasing. There were only a very few people who had complaints, however, I'm not one of them. After my researching, I bought a 50" Vizio HDTV and a 37" Vizio HDTV. I have had them for just under a year now and have no complaints at all. For the price and performance reviews I have read plus my own experiences, I am very pleased and would buy them again. LM

I have two Vizios. I bought my first Vizio 32" in 2005 for our bedroom. It's gorgeous....even after two years. I've never had to call Vizio's customer service because I've never had a problem with either TV. The second Vizio is a 50" plasma for the living room. The sound is huge as is the picture. We're very happy with our purchases. We bought both Vizio's at Sam's Club. I wasn't familiar with the brand but when I compared it side-by-side with Sony, Panasonic, Phillips, and Samsung, it outshone all of them. I was surprised because I like brand name electronics....but I'll buy a Vizio anyday over those other brands!

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT buy anything Vizio! They will not stand by their products even when there is a KNOWN defect. Their TV's have good pictures and seem to be a good price, but they won't last. How about a $3000 TV that dies when barely 2 years old. Itâs known on the internet as âthe Vizio pop of deathâ.

Pros: good picture, lots of inputs, easy to use univeral remote
Cons: blacks are average, remote is 'glitchy'
My Wife and I looked at several HDTVâs and settled on the Vizio. We liked the picture and the price. Itâs true that the black doesnât seem too deep but you wonât notice at all after you get it home because there arenât any others to compare it too, and does it really matter?
This TV looks good in 480 or 1080. The down side is that one time we turned on the cable box with it on an HD channel and THEN turned on the TV it seemed to get stuck and we didnât see a picture for several seconds. After waiting for a while we tried to turn it off then back on but couldnât. I eventually got it back on after I unplugged it. We simply make sure that we turn it on first, no problem. I personally like all the inputs for it. There are 2 of each kind HDMI, video, S-video, and VGA. Selecting between them with the remote is a snap; there is a button for each type. The review said that the remote wasnât back lit but it is and itâs a good universal remote that is some times a little âglitchyâ you sometimes have to press a button twice to get what you want done but other than that it works great with our DVD and cable box.

Cons: problems with hdmi inputs
Overall this TV is really good for the price. I also found out when purchasing mine that Vizio is made by Samsung. So if you are having any doubts about the brand name I wouldn't worry about it. The only problem I am having with the TV is when toggling between inputs it takes a long time to switch and sometime doesn't recognize the command at all. Also I recently purchased a Playstation 3 and hook it up to the HDMI 1 input. Well the video is working fine but the sound keeps going in and out. That is all I have experienced so far.

I've been a Vizio owner for over a year and I'm impressed every day. The picture quality through Comcast cable is amazing in HD. I had some issues with a previous model but none so far with the P50HDTV10a. I'm finding myself looking for more ways to bring additional HD content to this set.
