The June 2003 release of Knowledge Adventure's new series of eight JumpStart Advanced titles is designed to offer kids from toddler age through 6th grade level a head start in learning. Each of the comprehensive three-CD packs contains fundamental skills for the targeted age group, as well as two additional CDs with various exercises, adventures and activities. JumpStart Advanced: Toddlers, for kids 18 months to three years of age, features more than 35 separate activities in the areas of fundamental skills, songs, and art.

Disc 1, School Time, lets youngsters count numbers and sing ABCs, explore musical sounds, and learn fundamental concepts from numbers and letters to colors and shapes. Activities include Lily Pond (simple counting), Grandma's Flower Garden (color identification), Chippy's Treehouse (shape making and matching), Picture Playtime (coloring and making pictures), Peek-a-Boo Woods (prediction skills and animal recognition), Musical Waterfall (music awareness), and ABC Toadstools (letter recognition).

Disc 2, Sing-Along Time, furthers learning through songs, pictures, and more. Specific songs include "Four Little Monkeys" (logic and math), "Listen Everybody" (patterns and pitch), "ABC Song" (linguistic skills), "If You're Happy and You Know It" (interpersonal skills), "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes" (kinesthetic skills), "Look Around You" (visual recognition and spatial skills), and "Old MacDonald" (animal names and sounds).

Disc 3, Art Time, features stickers, storybooks, paint, and crafts embedded in activities including Storybooks (backgrounds, stickers, themes, clothes, hairstyles, speech bubbles and props), Banners, Greeting Cards (backgrounds, message, decorations), and a variety of Crafts.

JumpStart Advanced: Toddlers teaches more than 50 skills in areas of Pre-Reading, Math, Computer Use, Art, Music, and Science, employing seven expert-identified learning styles. As with all the JumpStart Advanced titles, Toddlers contains comprehensive on-CD manuals for all three programs, parental or caregiver advice and assistance, and printed song lyrics where appropriate. ~ Michael L.
