    The 1993 TT Carnival raged in controversy over new styles of music entering the calypso/soca scene. Chalkdust's finger-pointing "Kaiso in Hospital" was widely accepted as the "official" viewpoint on the matter, even if a bit extreme in its accusations. One of Chalkie's best LPs ever, it included other great commentaries like "The Acid Test" and "Stickman's Lament."

One of calypso's true intellectuals, Chalkdust (born: Hollis Urban Lester Liverpool) is known for his hard-hitting, politically tinged lyrics.
