Sega's 1999 arcade hit serves its way onto Nokia's NGage with the release of Virtua Tennis. Arcade, Exhibition, and World Match are the three available modes of play. Arcade mode lets users select one of eight preset characters to go headtohead against the computer. Exhibition is similar to Arcade mode, but there are no computercontrolled players. Instead, two users challenge each other via the NGage's builtin wireless capabilities. World Match has players creating their own character to compete on an international tour. While on tour, players will earn money to purchase upgrades and new items. Games in each mode can be played as singles or doubles matches. There are also three court surfaces included in Virtua Tennis: grass, clay, and hard. When controlling the action, only two of the NGage's buttons are used: one for lob shots and the other for regular volleys. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide

    hey, it's pong!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 2, 2004

Pros: honestly it's pong, from the 70's

Cons: no, it's tennis, the box told me so.

this game must have been under some severe time restraints to be released because this game does not do justice to the sega versions in the past. the movement is slow, very slow. you have two shots, slow and slower. you have one level of difficuli...ty, well, they call it three, but it's one. i beat this game's master tournament on my first try. as well as two of my friends, who have never played the n-gage before. there is nothing this game has to offer after about one hour of play. i can't recommend it, sorry.
