    Pros: It had semi-good quality/sound

    Cons: Burned out early, Remote barely worked, SLOW channel Changing

    I bought this TV in early september of 2007, and it was good at first. The quality wasn't quite as good as the floor model in the store (like everything else in life). The remote doesn't work for up to 3 minutes everytime you turn it on. Just... this week, the TV completely quit working. Seems like quite a conicidence that it burns out just DAYS after the 1 year warranty expires. Save your money... DO NOT BUY THIS TV Read more Less

    Pros: Great price and picture quality

    Cons: Image persistance, remote, no speaker turn off

    I thought this was a great deal when I got this TV. However, after owning it for 6 months I now know I will not buy another Viewsonic LCDHDTV. One, there is no way to turn off the speakers, so if you run your sound through an amp (surround sound syst...em) for example, everytime you power the TV down the "speakers off" choice you made on the menu resets. Two, the remote is useless. I use it for turning the TV on and off. Not a big deal but still. Get a scrolling input button Viewsonic! Three, and this is the worst, image persistance! I've had it for less than one year. Already I am getting image persistance on the left and right sides from the SD pillar box broadcasts. Two very noticeable vertical lines that run all the way from the top to the bottom of the screen. Viewsonic said to turn the TV off for an extended period of time and it would go away. I went on vacation and the TV was turned off for 10 days, only to come back to the same thing. So turning the TV off for a long period of time is obviously not a solution. Even though this TV is less than a year old, Viewsonic is no help at all, they say "burn-in" is not covered in their warranty. My next TV will be a SONY. Never again thanks to Viewsonic's lack of quality and reluctance to support their product properly. You get what you pay for. Read more Less
