    Revealing look at small town life with all its beauty and drawbacks: The philosophizing doctor who makes up poetry for his dog companion as he drives around the countryside and inevitably ends up in the ditch since his attention wanders, the fool wh...o whistles and attempts to walk like his truck driving partner, drinking one's pint on any given sunny afternoon with one's neighbors, sweet young awkward love at the local dance, the affairs and dissappointments of the poorer class, etc. Endearing and worth watching more than once.
