    Pros: Excellent Songs

    Cons: Been There, Bought That.

    I'm an Eagles fan tried and true. Have followed them through the good times, the solo times, and the good time yet again when they reunited. Even paid the outrageous ticket prices to see them twice in the Rose Garden. But come on, how many times ...are we going to buy the same songs repackaged over and over. If I understand the labeling. The best of the Eagles I, II, and III weren't really the best of... cause this one is. But then when I bought the boxed set I thought I'd bought the definitive collection. Hmm.. snookered again. I'm waiting for a promised new album, but haven't seen it yet. I guess I'm supposed to buy yey again a best of collection for one new song? I don't think so. For anyone born after 1980 this is a nice representative collection of Eagles tunes, for us older folks its the same old stuff in a brand new box. Read more Less

    Pros: Almost all of their wonderful songs

    This is a great collection of Eagles tunes. They leave almost nothing out. For anyone who wants to hear the very best of, this really is! This is the best album they have ever released. Although it is mainly songs from their greatest hits 1 and 2, it... still has some songs such as Doolin Dalton, Please Come Home For Christmas, and Ol 55 that are true gems that are not on the greatest hits albums. This is at the utmost level of being highly recommended to anyone who enjoys The Eagles. They are the best band ever and they truly prove it with this great collection of timeless music.     Pros: Virtually everyone of their classics are here

    Cons: No "Saturday Night" from the Desparado album

    Simply a must have for those who have no Eagles in their CD collection though the package will undoubtedly appeal to those that have their six regular albums already plus "Hell Freezes Over." It's an excellent anthology and a better va...lue than the expensive box set issued a few years ago. Read more Less

    Pros: the one NEW song

    Cons: been there, done that, got a t-shirt!!!!

    The Eagles at their best - definitely .... but we all already know their best !!! Is it over and done with??... or are they going to give us something new. I know they are still capable as I recently saw them in concert and they are wonderful !!!!!

    When can Don, Glenn, Joe, and Timothy release some new material. I would prefer something that I do not have on six different albums. I love these songs but I already have all of them on a different album and that is without burning a CD. It is tr...uly pathetic that a band of this caliber cannot release new material and have to stoop to the level of producing the same, tired songs over and over just to make a few bucks.     Pros: Good compilation with DVD bonus.

    Cons: Repetitive re-issuing

    I generally do not like greatest hits or best of albums, I think the "best" music gets left out. The DVD attracted me as well as the track list and I found it for $17.95. I will not pay over $20.00 for a CD - period. It just so happens this... complilation does have a lot of my favorite Eagle stuff all on one CD, making it worthwhile to pull out my wallet. It does get very lame to see artists re-packaging their material every few years while not producing anything new. The Eagles are one group perhaps that can get away with it -another generation is discovering their music. Read more Less
