    I've read all the reviews before, and OK - i can understand if someone claims that some stunts are unrealistic, or the dialogues are poor... but then again, i haven't seen too many action films that can offer any of this!you cannot make a movie that ...caters to every kind of movie-goer. if you want something to think about, then go and see MEMENTO, but don't write a spoiler just because this movie was pure & shallow entertainment. a rating has to be objective, and for an action movie i think this one pretty much delivers the goods. (I have to admit that i'm biased though as a hobby climber ;-)but the stunts are good (the nitro stuff is a good idea) the mountain panorama is beautiful, the characters are funny (with their local dialects) and the movie gets really exciting way through the second half. ok the finish is cheesy, but then again, most hollywood blockbusters are.Plus, the DVD offers a great deal of extras, with a documtentary about a quest for K2, and some footage on modern climbing that is very interesting. they also give you the making-of & how the crew was casted & trained. not just stuff to fill the CD with.     I only wish there were an option to choose less stars than one. This movie quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. The actors (who are generally pretty good) couldn't make this awful script work. The sappiness is nausiating, the diaolog pat...hetic, and the "action" is wholly impossible.     This movie is great!!!!! The only thing wrong with it is that they made that one team's (the austrailian guy and the muslim guy) Nitro blow up. I think that part was totally unrealistic. It was only a few seconds, maybe a minute after Peter and Mo...ntgomery Wick put theirs in the shade, and I honestly don't think that a few seconds would have made that much of a difference.Otherwise, it was terrific!     For those of you that believe this movie is even close to good are borderline retarded. The story line is completely unrealistic, and the way the climbers are portrayed is laughable.

    this movie sucked,first of all ,you the worst actors and actresses cast for this flop. now i realize the special effects were suppossed to be the reason you went and saw vertical limit.but come on,the helicopter scene was fake as hell,first of all th...at woman would have died,then where in the hell did the climbers in the camp below get a camera too be able to watch the helicopter crashing(thats when i gave up on this one,personally.this movie should've been called horizontal limit,because it was flat first with the plot,then the actors,and finally the special effects.
