Set in Neptune, California, VERONICA MARS is a popular TV drama that follows the fortunes of a 17-year-old trainee private investigator. Neptune is full of powerfully rich residents, many of whom believe they are above the law. Fortunately Veronica, who was propelled into a life of crime-fighting after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered, is on hand to ensure that justice is served, much to the annoyance of the Neptunians who find themselves frequently foiled in their devious plans. Veronica's father is the former sheriff of Neptune, who found himself removed from office after alleging that Lilly's father was responsible for his daughter's death. Now, together with Veronica, he runs a local private investigation business, while also ensuring that his daughter doesn't neglect her high school duties. A long-standing subplot that runs through the show is Veronica's attempts to clear her father's name, which only leads to further evidence of enormous corruption and deceit in a neighborhood that seems littered with criminal activity.     Every Home Should Have One

    Pros: Great episodes

    Cons: Few special features

    Just watch one episode and you'll be instantly hooked on this clever show about a teenage private detective trying to solve the mysteries surrounding her community of Neptune. I've recommended this to my friends and all of them loved it! And ...what's not to love? There's are the interesting mysteries to solve every episode, witty writing, great acting and chemistry from all of the actors, and even a great opening song (We Used To Be Friends by the Dandy Warhols). People of all ages will enjoy this show, it's not jsut for teenagers though it looks like the other teeny bopper shows. Fans of the TV classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer will like this show too since it features another kick-ass heroine who can stand up for herself. Definitely recommended! Read more Less

    How Can You Not Love This Show?!?

    Pros: Actors, Story, Pretty Much Everything

    Cons: None That I can Think Off

    I have yet to meet someone who has not liked this show. This show has everything. The actors and actresses are brilliant. I really have never seen a show where so many actors perform the their characters so perfectly. I love how each show has it is o...wn "mini-mystery" but the give you clues and hints about the big mystery. And if you pay attention and are smart enough you may be able to figure who done it and why. I love that you have to use your brain a little bit when you are watching this show. Another wonderful thing about this show is how funny it can be at times. They throw things from recent pop culture in and show us how idiotic they really are. But then it uses some off the darker things that have happened recently and shows us not everything is all happily. And that is not even talking about how everything is not as perfect as it seems for the characters. For a show that is supposed to for young people, it is orginal, smart, funny and sometimes dark. I thank God for Rob Thomas for creating this show (and for his wonderful books that I have read and I suggest everybody to read, too). This the only show that I have waited every week for to watch.
