Ex-Porno for Pyros songwriter/guitarist Peter DiStefano crafted the electronic soundscapes of Venice Underground in the late '90s. This particular jaunt featured collaborations with former Jane's Addiction bass player Eric Avery and Bauhaus/Love Rockets percussionist Kevin Haskins. It became merely a focus of technological experimentation, and DiStefano took several steps away from his heavy guitar work, most notably his stint touring with Peter Murphy during the year 2000. His self-titled debut album for Immergent, released in early 2001, played with alternative dance and elements of darkwave ambience, and California locals, such as programmer Big Green Boy and vocalist Little Green Girl, were also included on this electronic recording tailored to DVD-audio.
