Synopsis: Velvet Goldmine (1998)
Synopis: Set in London in the early '70's during the emergence of the glam-rock scene- this film follows the rise of Brian Slade, a mythical rock icon who finds himself at the very epicenter of the pleasures and decadence of his day. At the peak of his fame, Brian and his wife Mandy cruise the nightspots of New York and mix with the likes of Ewan McGregor's Curt Wild, his spiritual twin and fellow glam rocker -- until Brian disappears after a publicity stunt gone wrong. Velvet Goldmine is hell, but a very seductive one. The movie is exquisite, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ewan McGregor (delicious), Toni Colette and Christian Bale deliver great acting, a lot of emotions and wild scenes. The concert scenes are devilish and beautiful. Todd Haynes has guaranteed his place in director's heaven with this one. Everyone who has live blood in their veins will appreciate it. I've seen it 8 times and bought the video because life is simply not the same after Velvet Goldmine. Enjoy! ... -

Jonathan Rhys-Myers is beautiful and Ewan McGregor looked very good (I love a man who can do full frontal nudity). I don't understand the ending so I will definitely watch it again.
