Velella Velella is a funkinfluenced indie electronic band from Seattle. Influenced by classic funk such as ParliamentFunkadelic and the Mizell Brothers as well as modernist funk such as Stereolab and Beck (circa Midnite Vultures), not to mention cratediggers such as Madlib and DJ Shadow, the band is a quartet of multiinstrumentalists comprised of Andrew Means, Michael Burton, Jeremy Hadley, and Sylvia Chen.
