great movie
Pros: football, texas atmosphere
Cons: the soundtrack has sprung monkey doing thunderstruck, not AC/DC
This is a great movie. Me being a former high school football player, it really takes me back to when I played football. That it is focused in a Texas atmosphere makes it even better because high school football is such a huge thing down there. The football scenes were great. It was like I was right there. On a scale of one to ten, this is definately an 11. Great movie!

This was absolutely a great movie. Strong young cast and great scenes especially the football scenes. The acting was great the story was great. Walker fit the role of Lance Harbour perfectly while Vanderbeek did a good job as Johny Moxon. His character was basically linked to every other character in the movie the everything was from his point of view.

this movie was great I mean it has every thing that a movie needs to make it a instant hit. I really don't see how anyone could hate it. I mean it has everything nude chics, crime, hate, love, and most important it will make you crack up with laughter. LOL style.

This is an Excellent movie. Each of the characters were fresh actors, but not new actors. They played their roles well and made the movie so believeable. I got sick of waiting for this movie to come on cable so i went out and bought the DVD. Everyone should own this.

This is the best movie ever! It's one of my favorites! Scott Caan, Paul Walker, and James van der Beek are so hott in this movie! I luv them so much! If there is anyone out there that does not like this movie has got to be crazy! But eveyone has their own opinion!

i have have seen tons of movies and let me tell you this was the best. it was funny and it had a good meaning to it. I definately recommend this to everyone! The soundtrack also features a really good band...GREENDAY!!!

Varsity Blues has my two favorite things in it: James Van Der Beek and football. James Van Der Beek played a great Texas guy! He looks so good, but he looks better with blonde hair, not brown. I still love him though! Actually, I fell in "love" with him while I was watching a Varsity Blues commercial. The one where he's doing push-ups, and saying all that stuff to himself. Well anyways I think that Varsity Blues is the best movie that man has ever made. So don't forget James Van Der Beek is the best, and I love him lots!!!

This movie was one of the very few well acted and directed films that are about more than a teen romance....A emotionally moving film about morals and the gift to believe in yourself. Also the right to stand up for ones self and be the person you want to be and not the persons others hope for you to be.

My opinion of this movie is rather bias due to the fact that as long as there's a actor as FINE as Paul Walker in the film, I'd give it 2 thumbs up and then some. But on a more serious note, all in all, it was a good movie.....it would have been even better if Paul Walker (Lance) had a bigger part :)
