Valhalla Chronicles PC Game

Steeped within the realms of Ancient Norse mythology, Valhalla Chronicles follows the exploits of four adventurers Grim, Tuva, Hymer and Thorgeir to whom it has fallen to ensure that Ragnarok does not come to pass. As one of these four warriors, players scour the lands of Miklagard, Vinland, Valhalla, Svartalfheim and Muspelheim in search of the mystical runes of Fulthark. These eight magical artifacts are coveted by the god Loki, who intends to use them to bring about the end of the world.

Viewed from an isometric overhead perspective, player characters interact with the gods and denizens that populate each world, acquiring useful items, weapons and equipment to aid in their quest, or engaging in combat with those who dare stand in their way. As in similarly styled titles such as Diablo and Harbinger, combat takes place in realtime and is initiated simply by clicking on the desired target.

Each of the four characters possess unique attributes and abilities that can be honed and improved through combat and the completion of various quests. As such, players are able to take on additional sidequests and perform tasks for those they meet, which, aside from currying favor with the locals, imbue the hero with valuable experience. ~ Gavin Frankle, All Game Guide
