Cons: Differs to thier earlier albums, can be a little boring in some parts
I'm a late KoRn fan, but I still love thier songs. I will admit I have not heard all thier albums (but there are some exceptions with some of the album's songs) I listened to this CD, and fell in love with two songs that will always be some KoRn song classics for my playlist. I'm going to go through each the songs:
1. Here To Stay- 10/10 Beauitful start to thier album. It's an extremely downtuned heavy song that really shines the whole band's talents. It's probably my most favorite KoRn song I've heard so far. However, this song get's you going too soon.
2. Make Believe- 8.5/10 Really, I like this song. Jon's melodic lyrics with the all the synthetic music in the background. It's a different turn from the first song, but this is one I believe some will like, while others wont.
3. Blame- 6/10 This song doesn't really interest me. It's here things slow down for me on this album. The begining sounds a tad bit like "Here To Stay", but less heavy and uninteresting. I skip this one alot.
4. Hollow Life- 7/10 When I heard Jon really liked this song, I was shocked. I don't find how he sings in this song really great. It's a very deep song, but it's done in a way that I'll listen to, or not.
5. Bottled Up Inside- 9/10 It's here where things heat up again. It's another turn from the depressing, melodic songs after the first song. Munky and Head give great guitar work on this song. The lyrics are ok, but it's mostly the song's beat that got me going.
6. Thoughtless- 10/10 Another huge fav of mine. Any KoRn fan would love this song. Jon shows a huge range of vocal possibilites on this song. It has an awsome beat any rocker could headbang to. Also, this song would really get to those who have had troubles in school with fighting. (Also, Amy Lee of Evanescence performs this song, and it's also worth listening too, but Amy Lee doesn't compare greatly with Jon in singing this.)
7. Hating- 6.5/10 This song I can take, or I can't. The begging makes me sad sometimes when I listen. It's another ok song, but not a very preferable one. I skip this one more than I listen.
8. One More Time- 9.5/10 This is a great song as well. I love the synthesis used with the guitars in this song. It's another song that is catchy and fun to listen to. It's not heavy, but it's good.
9. Alone I Break- 7.5/10 It puzzles me when I saw this on KoRn's "Greatest Hits" album, and not "Thoughtless". I liked it the first couple times I heard it. It's a definite suicide song, with Jon's unsual saddening lyrics and good background music, but it can get old after some listening. If It comes on when I listen to my KoRn playlist, I'll find myself singing along with it, but the song is not as great as it used to be for me. This song I de prefer though, because despite my unisterest for it, I still sing to it and I did like it. ...
10. Embrace- 7.5/10 This song brings back the heavy metal sound after the songs between this and "Thoughtless". Jon's vocals and lyrics in this song will grab your attention, but as for sticking with it is a mystery. I don't listen to this song very much, but when I do, I do like it.
11. Beat It Upright- 7/10 I don't have much to really say for this song. When KoRn does a sex related song (like A.D.I.D.A.S), It doesn't grab me too much. However, for rockers who love to listen to music while having sex, you may like this.
12. Wake Up Hate- 9/10 VERY industrial sound in this song. It's intense and a great song for people who've had a bad day. It can really let of some of that steam from the day. It's a very good song to listen too, and it's very close behind "Here To Stay" and "Thoughtless" with how good it is.
13. I'm Hiding- 7/10 Really, after "Wake Up Hate" this and the last song don't g

| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews After a three-year break that included solo projects and soundtrack work, Korn's re-emergence in the summer of 2002 was met with great anticipation. The band delivered Untouchables, an album that shows the group building on its previous sound and emphasizing its strengths. The use of melody is more important than ever, allowing Jonathan Davis to utilize his wide palette of vocal tricks. His charismatic voice can now move from a clear-throated wail to a death metal growl with ease, lending the album a manic side that brings to mind King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime-era Faith No More. The only problem with Davis is his lyrics, which tend to fall into the "am I going crazy" trap that many of Korn's contemporaries perpetuate. This is a shame, because here he often avoids the social issues that he confronted on the first few releases. The band is far more experimental this time out, delivering Helmet-like ringing guitars that melt and morph into each other, a mix of Metallica-esque blastbeats and tight funk drumming from the constantly improving David Silveria, and memorable riffs that take the shape of dark sound structures and offer more than just a collection of chords. In fact, it is the last point where the album sets itself apart from most nĂ¼-metal offerings; Korn understands that the overall sound of hip-hop works because of the sonic stew that producers create through samples. The band does the same with instruments, cutting the chugging riffs of the past and replacing them with edgy soundscapes that are equally as menacing. There isn't even a rapped verse here, save for Davis' rhythmic scatting at moments, further distancing the band from the scene it helped create. But by cutting away some of the fat and finding new ways to deliver their trademark roar, the members of Korn manage to offer a strong and lean album that maintains their place as innovators in a genre with few leaders. - Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide |

I wish they would try something different, they have started to sound very boring and tired now.
