  • All Music Guide

This Memphis alternative rock band, formerly known as the Bamboozlers, infuses an authentic twang into their classic rock lite and ends up with a debut album just shy of radio-friendly hugeness. Singer Justin Moore croons like a happy-go-lucky Aaron Lewis (Staind), while terminally upbeat power chords roll off the hands of Phil Bogard. Forgettable acoustic numbers like "Will I Ever Make It Home" develop into guitar-wall bombasts with the help of producer Emerson Hart of Tonic. On "The Day Your Luck Runs Out," Moore channels a cleaned-up Black Crowes while the guitars continue their pop chime -- an unfortunate inability to really sink into the styles Ingram Hill is trying so desperately to adopt.

Like Cracker, Train and Tonic, Ingram Hill has an earthy, unpretentious approach that is re... Read more
