About Unity 2
Sean "Cavo" Dinsmore and Lionel "Nene" Bernard formed Unity 2 as a way to fuse Jamaican reggae toasting with its rap offshoot. Both were members of the Toasters, a New York City ska outfit, and their 1990 debut album, What Is It, Yo?, covers ska, dub, hip-hop, and a good deal in between.
