    Pros: attention getting

    Cons: a lil too much history and talking

    I have seen many vampire and werewolf movies and i have to say that at least this one is original. The fight scenes are intriguing and the plot is dark. if you like dark movies this one is for you.

    Pros: Action

    This is a story about a vampire woman trapped in the middle of a battle between vampires and werewolves. Get this plot-twist; she falls for a werewolf guy! Imagine! It's like Romeo & Juliet meet Count Chocula. The plot is so stock it comes with a... barcode. Luckily, the allure of the movie does not reside in the fantastically ridiculous story. This is a visual film. In most cases, rich stylization of the likes that make this film of effective is usually a movie's undoing. From the color choices to the effective use of lighting, I was attracted to how the film looked more than what the film was doing. That said, the vampire vs. werewolf deal, while silly, does hold some inherent interest for my geekier side. The performances in the film are notable considering what the actors are doing and saying. Kate Beckinsale is a good actress, and works well in the roles she has been popping up in. Unlike her role in the terrible Van Helsing (2004), her lead performance as Selene in this movie has the benefit of being a developed character. Beckinsale offers a brooding and attractive performance that manages to hold the whole piece together. Her interactions with Bill Nighly as Viktor (the ever present "original" vampire) are some of the best scenes in the whole film. Nighly presents a somewhat realistic portrayal of his character, which is saying something since this whole piece is a circus of goofiness. Read more Less

    Pros: Good actions and plot

    I loved every bit of it. I thought Underworld was off the hook. This film was great better it had me on the edge of me seat the whole time. I would recommend it to anyone who like vampires or werewolves. Its an excellent combination.

    Pros: Excellent story line and great images

    Cons: Soundtrack

    I thought that this was a great movie!!!I have been watching Vampire movies since I am 9 years old and have always been fascinated.I thought Kates character kicked butt and was a very strong characeter but with feelings.Even though Vampires are my fa...vorite I was rooting for the Lykins(werewolves).The movie had me on the edge of my seat, with the werewolves trying to find Michael. Look around the lab where they keep trying to macth the blood type and you can see the time line. I though the movies surroundings were just in tune with the movie, the darkness, the rain. The music played in the movie should have been added to the soundtrack. That is my only con.I would recommend this movie to any vampire fan, it has story action and a whole lot more. Read more Less

    This is an amazing movie. It is a great action movie between vampires and lycens (warewolves). The special effects, color, and costuming is to die for.
