Underworld Evolution is second film in Underworld franchise. Kate Beckinsale stars as vampire death fighter Selene. The film begins with the explanation of the Vampire leadership and narration by Selene on the events that happened in Underworld.
Selene and Michael (Scott Speedman) have a new enemy, his name is Marcus and he is son of Alexander Corvinus (Derek Jacobi) who was the father of Vampire and Lycan (werewolves).
Underworld Evolution is in many ways better than Underworld. The story of Lycan and Vampires is told properly. The relationship between Selene and Michael blossoms. There is more action in this film.
I recommend Underworld Evolution because of the story in the film, the Selene character and all the action that is shown in the film.
Rated 18 for strong graphic violence and a nude scene

This was a great movie. I liked that it gave a bit of history of the whole vampire/lychin beginnings. The special fx were awsome again. It was a bit dark, and the volume was erratic. Some parts were barely audible, then it would bounce over to extremely loud volume. I guess that's what a tv with smart sound is for. Over all, I give this one a thumbs up. I've bouoght it myself, and watched it twice already.

Cons: The storyline could be a bit confusing if you are not well-versed of the first movie.
The saga continues as the battle rages on between the aristocratic vampires and barbaric werewolves. Kate Beckinsale (Selene) proves that she is anything but a fragile English rose delving into the history of the vampire/werewolf conflict, uncovers her past, and saves the day once more. The behind the scenes featurettes of the DVD focus on a particular area of production. Everything from set design to fight choreography is covered. Overall, Underworld: Evolution is a movie that I would recommend. It's a great action movie and an even better "creatures of the night" flick. Don't be afraid to sink your teeth into this one. You may not be disappointed.

Len Wiseman has once again proved that you don't need big name actors to produce an A+ movie. Action, adventure, love story, special effects, a well produced story line and some great characters. Even if you are not into vampires, chances are you will love this movie. If you liked the first Underworld, then Underworld Evolution is a must see! I can't wait to see what Len Wiseman directs next.

I love having friends that work at video stores first of let me say. Ok so I saw Underworld a whole 5 days before anyone else can see it unless they spent the cash and went to the Movies... Ok well I will just say A+++++ I loved the first one and well the 2nd one is just as good. OMG I dont wanna say to much only cause it was so good and I don't wanna ruin it for anyone else... Rent it Buy It whatever its a must have.
