    If you are a Prince fan, you will be amused and get the humour. If not, don't bother with this one. Warner Bros. gave Prince total creative control in 1985 to make a movie after the surprising success of Purple Rain. Prince soonafter moved his entour...age to Nice, France to make a black and white film. He fired the Director over creative differences and his inexperience with celluloid clearly shows. Again, if you are into the Minneapolis sound of the '80s, its a must see. If not, and you just want to see his diverse musical talents, buy Rave 2000. The three stars for a great movie location and soundtrack. Read more Less

    Graffiti Bridge sucked...Purple Rain was a moving story about the Prince's life BUT Under the Cherry Moon is very funny and creative movie. If you adore Prince like I do, you will catch Prince's humor through out the movie. Prince is a very talented... and over all a great artist. More props to him. Stop hating ...and just accept the true talented one. Read more Less

    I love this movie. It is the best Prince movie in my opinion. Graffiti Bridge was awful, Purple Rain was pretty good, but this movie is a masterpiece. <flame protectant mode on> Those other reviewers above are crazy!!     This film is in black and white, is very hip and clever, especialy if your name is Prince. If your name is not Prince your time would be better served and more rewarding in a Federal prison. This film plumbs new lows in self indulgence, boredom, and ...penis stroking. Read more Less

    I really enjoyed him in this movie, even more so than in Purple Rain. If you have not yet seen it please buy it or if you have cable it comes on all the time. You do not know what you are missing if you are a fan of The Artist.
