Great couple flick looking for something steamy, but not quite pornographic. Basic, but classic, story line of high class woman meets scruffy hardbodied male. Touches on class conflict and upper class family expectations, but not too heavily. Mode...st character development - but believe me, the characters are fully developed. My husband even raved. Nice to see a couple of hollywood favorites mixed in - Burle Ives , Herve Villachez and Christy McNichols. Christy gives one of the more suprising performances as a sort of hot, trailer park trash nomad. Definitely different and hotter than one would expect from her past work.You get an early taste of Zalman King's work (pre-Red Shoes) which you can really appreciate; I think the dog, Tom, is also the dog in the Red Shoes series - Jake. It also has sort of that bizarre Twin Peaks touch too with the carnival scenes - almost disturbing. Read more Less
