Os Tubaroes (the Sharks) are one of the more popular Cape Verdean groups, both with the Island natives, and with the substantial ex-patriot communities in Portugal and New England. This seven-piece band performs both light-hearted coladeira dances and also traditional morna songs that address the problem of Cape Verde's far-flung diaspora. Their album, Bote, Broce, e Linha sold more than 10,000 copies.
