Safe way to see NYC

Pros: The whole island of Manhattan

Cons: Dark graphics and bugs-o-plenty

No way I was going to pay $50 for a GTA knockoff, but I snagged it at Best Buy for $30. The main reason I was interested in this game was that it is a detailed replica of NYC and I used to live there. I mainly wanted to roam the streets and revisit m...y favorite haunts. Well, I couldn't do that until I had completed some police training and passed the cop test. By then the game had drawn me in. I've been alternating between 3 saved games: "A" is for experimenting and practicing and touring. "B" is for playing the game as a good cop. "C" is for playing the game as a really bad rotten corrupt cop. Yeah, the game has its bugs and it certainly is no GTA San Andreas, but I'm still having a blast! Just like a real NYC cop, you can plant evidence, steal cars, beat up pedestrians, extort protection money from shopkeepers, etc. Or you can play boy scout and arrest people by non-leathal means and fly by the book. Or a little of both. Great fun, great city. It's like visiting Manhattan without the smell! Read more Less
