Triple Play 2000 PlayStation

Triple Play 2000, by EA Sports, is the latest game in one of the most popular baseball series ever. The game contains motion-captured animation (real people are taped and using computers are modeled for the game), play-by-play announcing from the team of Buck Martinez and Jim Hughson. In addition to play-by-play, they also give comments and opinoions on strategy that can be used by the player to their advantage.

EA Sports included just about all the options possible in this version of the game. Single game, Full Season, and Playoffs are just the tip of the iceberg. Triple Play 2000 also includes a Home Run Challenge, a draft, all the real stadiums modeled as realistically as possible, and full Team Management.

The Home Run Challenge is much like the old television show, where players get three "outs" over nine innings to hit homeruns. Anything that does not go out of the park is considered an out, and the player with the most homeruns at the end of the nine innings wins.

The draft allows the player complete control to make their dream team. The player can choose to have a draft based on a point system (limiting the amount of "star" players) or not.

The full Team Management allows the player to be a General Manager. They can make trades, sign free agents, create players, or change rosters of their favorite team.
