Pros: Robert Newton's performance
Cons: It could have been a little longer.
Robert Louis Stevenson would not have approved of the changed ending, but it's otherwise the best film version and quite rightly a classic. Robert Newton was perfect as Long John Silver: the role of a lifetime.
