Synopsis: Trader Horn (1931)
Synopis: Famed character actor Harry Carey stars as Trader Hunt in this tale of romance and adventure. Out on the hunt in the wilds of Africa, Hunt and company encounter a white woman searching for her long-lost daughter. When the woman is killed, Horn's party becomes determined to carry out her mission and find daughter Nina (Edwina Booth), whom natives refer to as the White Goddess. Little do they suspect that finding Nina may only be the beginning of their troubles.At the time of its release, TRADER HORN was the first narrative film to bring back footage from the jungles of Africa. Director "One-take Woody" Van Dyke spent almost 10 months in production with director of photography Clyde DeVinna determined to capture the glory of the landscape and to carry home moving pictures of the African fauna complete with the sounds of the animals in their natural environment.
