    GREAT notebook

    Pros: Fast, beautiful screen, nice comfortable keyboard

    I read alot of reviews prior to buying. The main complaints I saw were battery lfe and touchpad sensitivity. First, the bettery life can be extended GREATLY by dropping the screen brightness whenrunning off the battery. This looks a bit different whe...n you first change it, but 5 minutes later you get used to it and cannot tell a difference. Second, the touchpad can be customized in the mouse settings in control panel, or if you wish to turn it off that is an option in the function keys. Both dropping the screen brightness and turning the touchpad on or off are done by holding the Fn key at the bottom left of the keyboard while selecting the function key that represents what you are trying to do(there are little icons on the function keys that denote what Fn is performed by each one.)     Pros: beautiful screen, high quality sound system

    Cons: Short battery life

    I have used the Toshiba Satellite M45-S355 daily doing internet searching, PC-to-PC calling and ducument editing since August, it works as charm. The sound effect is better than my 2000 Sony VAIO. The combination of Pentium M's 1.86 GHz Processor...,1 GB Memory, 100 GB Hard Drive, DVD/CD burner and bright screen are exactly the feature I am looking for, I recommend it. Read more Less
