Get what you pay for
Pros: Speed, price, features, drive size
Cons: Heats up, PCMI slot is blocked so cards don't go all the way in, VISTA, case shows every fingerprint, hard to keep looking nice. Power cord is too close toDVD drive, it gets in the way.
I bought this laptop and the Ram was bad the moment I fired it up.
Toshiba was going to ship me a box to return it until I asked if there was a local approved shop. There is 15 minutes away. It took Toshiba 6 days to ship the memory to the shop.
Vista is a huge disappointment, I am actually thinking about selling this laptop and purchasing a Dell just so I don't have to deal with Vista. No scanner camera wizard or power tools for vista, I deal with thousands of photos a week, Vista is not as user friendly as XP.
I tried to plug a PC card in to the slot and it only went 1/2 way. I shined a light in and saw a block preventing a card from being fully inserted.
If you like Vista, and don't need crazy speed for 3-D graphics, you will love this laptop.Was this review helpful? Yes - Noexelent

Cons: Very short battery life. It over heats constantly and shuts down in the middle of applications
I love this laptop but it constantly shuts down on me. This is not a software problem. After many hours of technical assistance from the microsoft folks, it seems to be a flaw in the cooling system that makes it shut down. So much for doing music production. I am saving up for a Mac.
