Pros: build, design, configuration, sound

Cons: bulky, DVD drive makes lot of noise sometimes for small scratches, don't read them, overall CPU response and read speed is less

This laptop is good package for its price and configuration. Pros as mentioned are its design, features and good sound quality. The harddrive has low rpm because of which the read/write takes little long, that tests your patience. Another problem I n...oticed are the DVD/CD drive doesn't read the one with scratches which are not that prominent . The laptop is bit heavy too and hence its not that portable. Pros: Great RAM, great hard drive, and great design

Cons: Graphics card isn't that good, not good battery life

Decent Product for the Money

Pros: Lagre screen, great memory at 2g ram and 250g hard drive space. Sleek style but I am alway afraid that I will scrath the shiny finish.

Cons: Bad sound and graphics card. IE and Movie Maker stalls frequently

I was not impressed with the graphics card- the images look grayish- and you cannot see the full color of the images. The sound card is on the low end, which delivers poor quality, and the built in speakers are horrible for watching DVD. No surround ...sound or movie effects. This can easily remedied by purchasing external speakers. I am also expericing an aggravating intermittent problem with Internet Explorer hanging – I have not isolated problem to Toshiba or Microsoft IE or Vista. Lastly, when using Movie Maker, the application hangs when adding 25 or more photos. I believe that problem is related to Microsoft Movie Maker and not Toshiba as I had the same problem on non-Toshiba machines using the Movie Maker. Other than the minor things mention above, I love this laptop. The laptop has many many wonderful bells and whistles and it is well worth the money spent. Read more Less

Toshiba Brand

Cons: BAD COMPANY

I own an earlier version of this laptop. I did a lot of research before buing toshiba brand. Later 2 different computer pros told me Toshiba is trouble ...steer clear. I sent mine in for work (purchased 4 yr warranty). I recieve it back - told it is... a biohazard and my arranty has been voided. Why? It's infested with cockroaches. I have no roaches where I live. Furthermore this laptop sat on my bed entire time. I opened 2 of 3 compartments - nothing but dust. rd compartment needs technicians tool. Toshiba is BAD news. I'm 99.9 % thry lied as this makes no sense. It will cost me $65 to confirm the lie. I will never buy another Toshiba and I will never recommend them. They rip people off. Read more Less

totally crappy

Pros: it lasted perfectly no problems for the first months. it has a great memory capacity

Cons: this computer sucks it burns up so quick off of the power cord. my original ac adapter blew up after along essay and could not open up my computer until i got another cord.

i hate this computer it sucks in many ways. its color is great and blablabla but this computer was a waste of a purchase and a waste of time.do not buy trust me do not listen to other review i am warning you

Pros: i love everything about it

Cons: i have no cons at all....

i own this laptop, toshiba turion 64 AMD notebook satelite. it was my first computer purchase and ive never regreted it, not once so i would definately recommnd this laptop to anyone and everyone!
