    Great TV at a Great Price

    Pros: Big Screen, Small Price, Sharp Picture, Progressive Scan, No Glare Screen

    Cons: Sound just okay

    We took delivery on our Toshiba 65HM167 in May, and it has been a real joy to watch. The vibrant colors, the image clarity, and the real HDTV experience are great. Watching sports, particularly the Golf Channel or Baseball, lets you see each blade ...of grass with amazing clarity. The flat panel screen does not reflect a bit of glare and stays sharp in our sunny room during the day, and at night, it gives a great movie theater feel. We coupled this with an Onkyo HT-S790B and with DirectTV HD service, and we get a true HD home theater experience for less than $2,500. The only drawback so far has been with the sound on the TV itself, which is not all that it's supposed to be, but with the Home Theater system, who cares? We keep the sound down all the time anyway to enjoy the rich full sound from the Home Theater system, which I am reviewing separately. I looked at a number of TVs, including Mitsubishi, Panasonic, and others, and LCD and Plasma before settling on this one, mainly because the performance of the image is much better, particularly when watching sports, on a DLP than an LCD, and the cost and glare are much better with the DLP as well.     Pros: Price, quality of picture

    Cons: Questionable bulb life

    I read all the reviews of this model and when I saw it at Fry's during the New Year sale for $995.00 I just jumped on it. Hundreds less than any competitor. Some reviewers questioned the bulb life. I just plan to purchase one on Ebay for less tha...n $200 as a spare in case. The bulb changes with just 4 screws and a screwdriver! Almost one month and no problems here. Very pleased with my awesome purchase so far. Read more Less

    Toshiba 65 inch DLP

    Pros: Has a great picture and easy to use

    Cons: Very poorly made have had numerous problems

    I bought this tv from Sears in July 2007 and it worked fine for about 11 months then in power saving mode it would not come on unless you unplugged it and plugged it back in. Called a technican to fix it. They came fixed it and then one of the theate...r settings would not work. I called them back they came out to check it and my orginal problem had also re appeared. When they call Toshiba they drag their feet and seems to not care if it gets fixed or not. They say I need another motherboard which was replaced once already but it has been two months and they haven't sent the part yet. I know I will never buy another Toshiba product. Read more Less

    Pros: am dissapointed

    Cons: brokee in period of10 months

    tv looks great broken done 3times in a period of 10 months . and i bought it new am dissapointed
