    DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE

    Cons: Worst TV ever, died within hours

    I thought I had found a good deal on a decent size lcd. My mistake! After setting this TV up and turning it on I was immediately disappointed withe the picture. I spent hours trying to adjust it, but it just got worse. The available options for setti...ngs is limited and it never got any better. Then after only 8 hours of use it died, no picture at all. Toshiba customer service was horrible!! Kept me on hold almost 1 hour and when I got a real person I was referred back to where I bought it. I managed to box it back up and take it back. I couldnt get a refund, was offered an exchange but the service desk suggested a I get a credit and use it for a different manufacture as they had several of these same sets returned. I purchased a Samsung and now enjoy a great tv with a great picture. Toshiba needs to do something about their quality control before they release these things on the public. Read more Less

    GREAT TV FOR THE PRICE

    Pros: PERFECT IMAGE; GREAT SOUND

    Cons: IT IS HEAVY NEED 2 0 3 FOR PUT ON THE WALL

    WE WERE LOOKING AROUND 2 MONTHS FOR A NEW TV. AFTER A LOT STORE WE SAW ONE IT WAS AS GOOD OR EVEN BETTER OF SONY BRAVIA AND OTHER TOP TV. BUT THIS TOSHIBA WE GOT IT FOR A 1,000 LESS. YES WE SAVE 1,239 IN THIS TV. WE ARE REALLY HAPPY. THE SOUND IS PER...FECT, I HAVE A HARMAN KARDON SOUND SYSTEM, ALL IS PERFECT. NOW WE ARE BUYING HD DVD PLAYER.     Pros: price was right

    Cons: nothing else was right

    I thought I did a great job finding this TV at a great price. My thrill soon dimished after turning it on. After hours of trying and on the phone with Toshiba service I could not change the screen format, full, theatre wide etc etc. Finally Toshiba s...ervice said there was nothing else they could do and it must be a defect and would have to send someone out. Well I have been waiting on the callback to schedule service for days, and have called 3 more times to get it scheduled with nothing happening. After 3 weeks of watching this TV on normal screen (lousy for DVD's) I took it back. I didnt tell Toshiba this, but it's been over a month now and the service call has never happended. Save yourself the headaches, do not buy this problem TV. Read more Less

    Pray you never need customer service

    Pros: Good, HD picture, nice features

    Cons: Died in 4 months, Toshiba says 3 months to get the parts

    The TV itself is great. I purchased it December 2007. Everything was going great and we were enjoying it a lot until the power supply went out in the TV (March 2008). We contacted the store we purchased the TV from and they sent someone out to take a... look. After confirming the power supply needed to be replaced they told us that it would be June or July before they could get the parts. The repair company and the store we purchased the TV from both said that having the customer contact Toshiba directly usually results in a better response on getting parts. We contacted Toshiba directly, they assigned a rep to our problem, and we haven't heard anything back since. Each time we call Toshiba to get an update on the parts for our TV, they tell us that the rep has all the information and will call us back. They refuse to let us speak with the rep they assigned to the case, and they refuse to let us speak with a manager at Toshiba's call center. When asked why it takes so long to get parts for a new model TV, the response from Toshiba was, "Well, we make a lot of TVs and some of these parts come from overseas". I have had other Toshiba products and been very happy with them, but this experience with their customer service has turned me off of purchasing Toshiba products in the future. The real kick in the pants... we even purchased the "extended warranty" when we bought the TV and it has done absolutely nothing for us. The TV is really nice... when it's working but for the last month or so all I've had is a big dead black square hanging over my fireplace. Something is disturbing is that before purchasing this TV I couldn't find any bad reviews of this TV (a few complaints about the "green problem"). After having the TV for a few months, I see that other people are having the same type of issues with their TVs and getting the same response from Toshiba's customer service department. If you are getting ready to purchase this TV, I'd wait a few more months to see if any more bad reviews pop up around the Net. Read more Less

    Best tv for the money

    Pros: Excellent picture and sound

    Cons: none

    Got the set for $ 1000. under the normal price. Very good picture, and the sound strip along the bottom of the set produces great sound. The remote is easy to learn. The overall quality of the set compares very favorably with more expensive sets.

    Pros: Great Picture, Low Price

    Cons: Didn't come with HDMI cable, took time to set up properly

    Amazing picture, especially for the price. Picked mine up online for $1700 delivered. The set only came with component video cables - picture with these was disappointing. However, after I replaced these with HDMI cables, and upgraded my cable subscr...iption to HD, the picture quality is stunning. I don't think I've seen a better picture on a TV at any price. Sound quality is not great, but, when I install my home theater system, sound quality should no longer be an issue. Read more Less

    Pros: great pic

    Cons: went up in 6mo

    I think these tv are defective,thats why the price was great.I got my t.v. for christmas o7 went away for 6mo when I returned home i notice lines apearring on the screen than it went up a couple weeks after. My warranty was up, now Im stuck with a tv... that dosent work Read more Less
